The Beginning of the Bonilla family blog......

I figured it's about time I keep this blog of ours up-to-date so that our family can see what's going on! I've been thinking a lot lately about the Temple. As you know, we are preparing to go to the Temple and I couldn't be more thrilled. Ever since we made this decision, it has only brought us closer as a family. Once we go through the Temple, I'm sure we will only grow closer together as this quote by Elder Richard H. Winkel says, "When you come to the Temple you will love your family with a deeper love than you have ever felt before." I started reading the Book of Mormon stories to Wyatt, and although he's not really paying attention and would rather knock over a stack of leggos, I know that what I am doing is right. Even though Wyatt may not be listening now, one day he will.... Before Wyatt and I read the stories we say a prayer and begin reading. Heavenly Father has a plan for Wyatt, and my job as a mother is to teach and guide him in that right direction. I love being a mother and I love being able to teach Wyatt about the gospel. President David O. McKay once said, "This ability and willingness properly to rear children, the gift to love, and eagerness, yes, longing to express it in soul development, make motherhood the noblest office or calling in the world. ." I love this quote! Being a mother is not always the easiest job, but it is the best job there is. I love watching Wyatt grow and Andrew and I will be there every step of the way to help guide him. Another important thing is fathers, as the quote by Thomas S Monson says, "Father . . . is ever willing to sacrifice his own comfort for that of his children. Daily he toils to provide the necessities of life, never complaining, ever concerned for the well-being of his family. This love for children, this desire to see them well and happy, is a constant in a time of change." I am so very greatful for all that Andrew does for us and for me. Everything he does, he does for his family. His willingness to learn and teach the gospel is amazing. He has often times helped me stay on the right path, and I am thankful for that. Over the past few years I have watched our family grow closer and closer, and it is an amazing thing to see. Our faith and love for one another is so strong and will only grow stronger. I look forward to the many wonderful things to come.....
