Wyatt's Picture With Santa

We took Wyatt to Bass Pro Shops for his picture with Santa. I definitely think this is the best place to go. They have tons of Christmas crafts for kids to do and train sets to play with and RC cars. It was a lot of fun. Wyatt doesn't much care for Santa, in fact he is terrified of him, so I knew this was going to be a pretty funny picture this year. It was our turn and we walk up to Santa and all of the sudden he clings to me and starts screaming. The only way we would get a picture is if I was in it with him. He didn't even want to look at Santa and kept his little hands over his mouth the whole time. Haha, but I think it makes for a pretty funny and cute picture that will be fun to show him when he gets older! I will be sending copies of this picture to all our family pretty soon.

In The Spirit Of Thanksgiving

I love this video. I meant to post it a little while back, but better late than never. There are so many things I am thankful for, my list is neverending.

(D&C 59:7) "Thou Shalt Thank the Lord Thy God in All Things" I am so thankful for my Heavenly Father and the love he has for me.

Happy Thanksgiving.

Ice In Arizona

It went from super hot to super cold really quick here, but I have to say that I am really happy that it is finally cold! I love it. Even though it is chilly, that doesn't stop us from bundling up and going to the park!

We even found chunks of ice!

Wyatt had a lot of fun breaking ice. Wyatt has so much fun exploring outside. I can't believe how big he is getting!

Wyatt's Photoshoot

Wyatt had a little photo shoot today. He wouldn't put down his goldfish, haha, but either way I think they still turned out cute. Wyatt is now 2 1/2 so he was due for some pictures!

My First Batch of Approved Photos!

As you know, I am now doing volunteer photography for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. A little bit ago I sent in my first batch of photos. I just found out this morning that some of them were approved and are now being held in the library in Salt Lake for possible publication. It is cool knowing that people all over the world will now be able to view my pictures I took. I look forward to taking more photos and sending them in. Here are the photos that got approved....

Gilbert Temple Groundbreaking Ceremony

Today was the groundbreaking ceremony for the Gilbert, AZ Temple. It was a beautiful day and a beautiful ceremony. Elder Claudio R. M. Costa from the Presidency of the Seventy was presiding over the ceremony.

Elder William R. Walker who is the Executive Director of the Temple Department was conducting. There was a wonderful talk given by the Mesa Arizona Temple President as well. This was my first time ever going to a groundbreaking ceremony so I enjoyed it.

This is what Wyatt did during almost the whole ceremony....
The Temple will take about two years to build and will look like this....

Isn't it gorgeous??!! I'm happy I had the opportunity to go to the ceremony today. Temples are such a blessing and I am thankful there will be another one fairly close to us.

"Establish a House, even
a House of Prayer, a House of Fasting,
a House of Faith, a House of learning,
a House of Glory, a House of Order,
a House of God."
(Doctrine and Covenants 109:8)

If anyone is interested in seeing the site where the Temple will be built it is on the Southeast corner of Greenfield Road and Pecos Road in Gilbert.

SO EXCITED!

Awhile back I submitted some photos I took for a volunteer position with the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints being a photographer. I am happy to say that today I got a response saying they would love to work with me! As a volunteer photographer for the Church I must submit at least 20 photos a week to Salt Lake. I get to combine two things I love, the Church and photography, and have the opportunity to have many people see through my photos who Mormons really are, what we believe, and what we stand for.

I am so grateful for this opportunity and hope that my photos will be able to touch many people and help people to better understand what we believe.

Sister-in-law gets married!!

We just got back from a trip to California for my sister-in-laws wedding. I'm so happy for Sarah and Shawn, they are perfect for each other! They got married in the Redlands Temple and had their reception in Andrew's parents backyard. It turned out so beautiful.

Shawn's poor grandma fell and busted her head at the rehearsal dinner. I felt so bad for her but she was sure a trooper!

Wyatt needed to take a break....

 The family....

 It was a gorgeous day....

It was a fun trip filled with laughs, cries, injuries, and good times. We had a nail party with all the women before the wedding at a salon. It was so fun! We got served sparkling cider and muffins....doesn't get much better. I'm glad Shawn is now a part of our family and that we got to meet his family. There is nothing more beautiful than a Temple marriage and I am so glad we got to be there on their special day.
