"Mothering With Spiritual Power"

I read this book and am already tempted to re-read it again. This is by far the most amazing book for mothers. It talks about the sacred nature of motherhood and the spiritual power we have through the gospel of Jesus Christ.

It talks about how to use scriptures to apply to mothering and how we can be uplifted and teach our children in these latter days. She uses about 25 different scriptures throughout the book.

This book has truly been uplifting to me and I plan to apply many of the things in this book in my everyday life. This book helps you to teach your children in a more Christ-like way. I really do love this book and recommend any mom read it.

Wyatt And Mommy's Trip To Cali

Wyatt and I got to go on a little vacation to California to visit my parents-in-law. I was so excited for this trip, we really missed them a lot!! Wyatt did so well on the plane, it was awesome! He just sat there and read books.

The day after we got there we went to Newport Beach and enjoyed some girl time at Fashion Island. It is super upscale and nice there. Wyatt wasn't really into all the shopping but he loved seeing the fish! This is also where Wyatt fell in the pond and then wanted to get back in, haha.

Grandma and Grandpa got Wyatt a little pool since they know how much he loves swimming. He had fun spending an afternoon in the perfect weather!

We took Wyatt to go see Auntie Sarah at her work and she has this ceramic red horse on a shelf and Wyatt was instantly in love. He was petting it and even tried to ride it. It was so cute and funny.

We also got to spend an entire day at Knotts Berry Farm, which was a blast! Here's Mister Wyatt in his new Camp Snoopy hat.

We got to go on a mining ride, train ride, and horse carriage ride, which Wyatt loved.

Then, our last stop was the giant carousel. Wyatt was doing the "pizza" dance in line (that's what we call it when he gets really excited, haha) He could hardly wait to get on. He had a blast!

There was a wobbly bridge you can walk across that's over water. Wyatt and grandpa went on that bridge too many times to count.

Wyatt also enjoyed many hours of playing and just having fun! (Grandma got Wyatt a new buggie that he wanted to ride all day long!)

Wyatt also got to enjoy painting his very own birdhouse. He ended up painting the table, his hair, and everything else as well, but hey, that's what makes it fun!

Then, on Father's Day we got to all go to church and enjoy a nice BBQ. I am so thankful for the Father's in my life and am really glad I got to spend this Father's Day with Grandpa Bob. We love him very much. Since we weren't home for Father's day I left Andrew a little gift for him to find.

Then, our last day there Grandma and I took Wyatt to see Toy Story 3. It was such a cute movie and Wyatt sat through the whole movie!!! Then, we went to Bracken Bird Farm so Wyatt could see the animals. He liked the goats, but was terrified of the turkeys (I don't blame him!)

One our favorite things about this vacation was just being able to relax.

It was a great trip and I already miss everyone!

Pool Party & BBQ With Friends

Saturday was such beautiful weather and we decided to have a pool party/BBQ with our friends and their kiddos! We have been doing a lot of work on our backyard and pool so I thought I would add some pictures of our pool. We got some chairs, a rug, umbrella, and installed a basketball hoop (which is so much fun!)

Some of us played some basketball, Kandis was pretty much whooping every one's butt. Andrew and I were convinced that she had been practicing since she knew we got a hoop installed.

Then, we BBQ'd which was a bit scary since Andrew and Will lit the grill on fire. Guess that finally gives us an excuse to get a built in BBQ :-)

The kiddos enjoyed countless wagon rides (thanks to Craig)

I think Wyatt has found a new lady. He really loves Millie! They followed each other around, it was too cute.

We had a ton of fun and I'm so glad everyone was able to come! We have such great friends in this ward and I am grateful for each and every one of them!

I Love This Kid

Wyatt is my little boogie bear and I love him so much! I love watching him grow, learn, and be silly. He has so much personality and I love it!

I am so blessed to have Wyatt as my son. Lately Wyatt loves just being silly! Making silly faces, playing peek-a-boo, hiding behind sheer curtains and thinking we can't see him, trying to sing along to all the songs we sing together, running in circles while dad chases him, playing with Rupert, having conversations while he points at you, scrunching his cute little nose, playing golf in the hallway, and running into our room as fast as he can in the morning to wake us up!

I love this kid beyond words!!

Riparian Preserve At Water Ranch

I took Wyatt here the other morning...

We weren't able to stay long because it is starting to get hot really early, but we did have fun!

Afterwards, I took Wyatt to the library (for the first time) and he loved it. He picked out 7 books and checked them out. They have an awesome summer reading program for kiddos that I signed Wyatt up for. Once he reads so many books (or I read them to him) he gets a ton of cool prizes, bucket and shovel, rubber ducky, stickers, Chipotle burrito, basketball game ticket, etc. I would suggest anyone with little kids sign up for it!!

Summer Time!

Wyatt is in love with swimming! He is starting to get the hang of kicking his feet and everything. I think back to last summer when he was in his little baby floaty and now he is swimming around and jumping in the pool!! I am really glad we have a pool, especially on those super hot summer days when that's all you can do!

Memorial Day

For Memorial Day we went to Schnepf Farm and picked peaches.

Wyatt had fun just running through the groves. Once he figured out how to pick the peaches off the trees, he had a blast! He would pick them off and put them in our bucket. So cute.

After we picked peaches we went to the little bakery at Schnepf Farm and enjoyed a warm peach Cinnamon roll. Yummy!

Then, of course we had to say hi to the famous Schnepf golden retriever that hangs around and greets everyone as you come in. Wyatt and I loved her. I wanted to steal her, but I thought they would probably notice if she was gone. I love golden's!

We came home and I made some homemade peach cobbler with french vanilla ice cream!! It turned out amazing!!

Then, we spent the rest of the day swimming, having family home evening, and ending with a nice family walk around the neighborhood. Doesn't get much better than that!
